libfreeimageplus3-dbg software package provides C++ wrappers for FreeImage (debugging symbols), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfreeimageplus3-dbg
libfreeimageplus3-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfreeimageplus3-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfreeimageplus3-dbg *
You will get with libfreeimageplus3-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
